In South Korea, a passenger plane has skidded off the runway and then crashed into a wall, reports the South Korean news agency Yonhap.

According to the news agency, there were 181 people on board, six of whom were crew members. According to the news agency, a total of 23 people have either died or been injured in the accident.

The accident happened at Muan International Airport in the southwestern part of the country. The plane was returning from Thailand to South Korea.

The rescue service said that they extinguished the fire that broke out in the plane in the first step. Passengers were evacuated from the back of the plane, Yonhap reported.
