The alarm was received by the police at a quarter past seven on Friday evening. It was the man himself who called and said that three people had shot some kind of fireworks at him.
– He has received a certain type of injury that causes the classification to be assault, says police spokesperson Lina Friberg.
The man did not need to seek medical attention. The three perpetrators disappeared from the scene after the attack and the police are now looking for them. According to police, the victim appears to have been random.
– He shouldn’t have been selected.
Second night in a row
Also on Thursday evening, people are said to have been shot at with fireworks or rockets in Malmö, then in Folkets park.
– Then there were several callers who told about being shot at, says Lina Friberg.
At the same time, calls are received that people are shooting fireworks, rockets and firecrackers in several places in the city on Friday evening.
– We also receive calls about young people in Slottparken.
Since 14:00 on Friday, the police in Malmö have reportedly received eleven calls about fireworks, rockets and firecrackers.
