(Finance) – City of Turin and Amiat Group Iren have agreed on an optimization plan for soil hygiene services as part of the existing Service Contract.
The plan – reads a note – is focused on strengthening the cleaning of the suburbs including manual sweeping operations and the removal of small waste, with particular attention to the areas served by the smart eco-islands, where monitoring will be intensified. In spring and summer they will be increased passages in city parks when the increased attendance, which is recorded in the warmer months, leads to a worsening of cleanliness. The collection of leaves will also be strengthened in the autumn / winter period in order to reduce the permanence of accumulations on the ground, while the main cycle paths in the city will be subject to an additional cleaning service with the use of electric sweepers.
These actions will also be supported by a progressive increase in employment levels as envisaged in the Iren business plan to 2030 presented in recent months.
In the coming months, the City of Turin will also evaluate with the company possible changes to the service contract currently in place in order to make the urban hygiene activity even more widespread and efficient.
In view of the major events that will soon affect Turin and its territory, the Administration will soon organize a control room with Amiat Gruppo Iren and GTT for the implementation and monitoring of all the interventions necessary to make the city ready to welcome the numerous visitors and tourists expected.
