Perttu Hyvarinens bad luck continues – he misses the Tour

Hyvärinen says that he has been sick and is aiming for the spring competitions.

Perttu Hyvärinen skip the cross-country Tour de Ski tour. The Finnish skier told about it on his Instagram account.

– Christmas in Davos has been spent and I’m not going home on the milk train. After the race, I had a small cold and now I feel that my condition is not worthy of the Tour de Ski, Hyvärinen wrote.

– Let’s start again at home to build up our fitness to the point that in the spring we could even compete in skiing.

Hyvärinen’s season has been broken, as he injured his ankle in November and did not get to the World Cup competitions until mid-December in Davos.

Hyvärinen won the 10 km traditional skiing race at the previous Tour. The Tour de Ski starts on Saturday.
