The hysteria surrounding Truls Möregårdh was at its greatest immediately after the Olympics in Paris.
When he visited China shortly thereafter, he was chased by hundreds of young girls and required four bodyguards around him at all times.
Now he tells us what girlfriend Leah Muskantor really thinks about Truls becoming so famous.
When Truls Möregårdh22, stepped into the summer Olympics in Paris, not many Swedes really dared to believe or hope that he would win a medal. When the championship was summed up, the table tennis pro from Eslöv had won an individual single silver and a team silver together with Anton Källberg and Christian Karlsson.
Truls Möregårdh is being chased by the fans
2024 has truly been a wonderful year for Truls. He followed up the Olympic success with an EC bronze in singles and an EC silver in doubles (with Anton Källberg). He really had his big breakthrough during the year and is now one of Sweden’s biggest and most famous athletes. Truls is frequently seen in various commercials and in various sponsorship collaborations.

He has become so famous that when he travels abroad, especially in Asia, people flock around him in a way that makes it almost uncomfortable. When he was in China after the Olympics, there were hundreds, maybe thousands, of people chasing him. He was forced to constantly have four bodyguards around him. He describes the situation as “surreal” and says that 98 percent of those who come forward are young girls. What does his own girlfriend think? Leah Muskantor19, about that very fact? According to Truls, she is not too jealous.
– No, really not. She finds it very peaceful. She herself has been there and experienced it on the spot during the competition, he tells Expressen.
Truls and Leah do not live together
He believes that Leah, who also plays table tennis at an elite level, does not find it difficult at all that he gets so much attention from other girls.
– She probably thinks more that it feels nice. That she is the one who has me, like. Not them. So she feels calm, he explains.

The couple is not currently living with each other. Leah still lives in Eslöv, where they both come from. Truls, on the other hand, has been living in Malmö for some time, where he bought an apartment.
– It works well right now. We don’t want to rush anything and move in together too soon. We both feel good about this, he says.
He has previously explained their decision to the same evening newspaper.
– We haven’t been together that long and you’ve seen a lot of couples our age who move in together quickly and it goes fast and all of a sudden it ends. So we have chosen to go a slower route. We feel safe with that. It is close between Malmö and Eslöv and we meet every day, he said this summer.
