It has been claimed that the third season of Daredevil is in production and that the hero will take more part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
One of Marvel fans’ favorite characters Daredevilis all set to return to the screens and big screens. According to new information, work has already started for the 3rd season of Daredevil: Born Again. Additionally, Matt Murdock’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is also taking shape. The hero is expected to appear more in post-Secret Wars Marvel films, which are scheduled to be released in 2026.
Daredevil Season 3 and More
Marvel Studios had started preparations for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, which created great expectations with its 18-episode first season. Now plans have begun to be made for the third season. It was stated that in the new season, Matt Murdock’s struggle with the underworld will deepen and the dark tones will be maintained.
It is also said that Daredevil will play an important role in future Marvel films. However, the hero is not expected to appear in the Avengers: Doomsday movie. It is stated that the reason for this is that it is difficult for the series’ story arc to adapt to the wars connected to the Multiverse.
Charlie Cox, the lead actor of the series, stated in his statement to Entertainment Weekly that intense efforts were made to ensure that the series did not lose its dark tone. Cox said, “What made this show special was that it had an adult, dark and serious tone. If we lose that, we lose the identity of the show.” he said.
According to Cox, the new seasons may include darker tones than in the past. The conflict between Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) and Matt Murdock will continue to be the main axis of the story.
While the series includes names such as Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Jon Bernthal, Nikki James and Michael Gandolfini stand out among the new actors. The first season is scheduled to be released on Disney+ on March 4, 2025.
