Norwegian train service started after a stoppage of half a day | News in brief

Train service was restarted after eight in the evening.

In Norway, the country’s train service has started again. Passengers still have to be prepared for delays and cancellations.

A fault in the traffic control system was detected a little before 8 am local time, which interrupted train traffic throughout the country. Trains that had been running in the morning were allowed to continue their journey at a reduced speed, but new trains were not allowed to run for safety reasons.

According to Bane Nor, who is responsible for rail transport in Norway, traffic was restarted after 8pm. However, some of the trains had already been canceled before then. It didn’t say what caused the error.

According to Bane Nori, efforts have been made to replace train routes with buses and taxis, among other things.

According to the Norwegian media, the situation has not been well communicated, which has angered train passengers.
