100 households in Amersfoort went without water

This afternoon a leak occurred in both the gas and water pipes on the Heer Halewijnpad. As a result, four homes were evacuated as a precaution. “The residents are being cared for by family and friends,” says a spokesperson for the Utrecht Safety Region (VRU). “A sinkhole has formed, and there is a danger that water will enter the gas pipeline.”
