The supreme leader of Iran called on the youth of Syria on Sunday to rise up against those who caused “insecurity”.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian Transitional Administration Asaad Hassan al-Shibani warned Iran against spreading chaos in Syria.
In a message published on messaging service X, the foreign minister called on Iran to respect the will of the Syrian people and the country’s right to self-determination.
– We warn them not to spread chaos in Syria and hold them responsible for the consequences of the latest statements, al-Shibani wrote without specifying which statements he was referring to.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khomeini called on the youth of Syria on Sunday to rise up against those who caused “insecurity”.
– We anticipate that a strong and honorable group will rise in Syria, because today the Syrian youth have nothing to lose. Their schools, universities, homes and streets are unsafe, Khomenei said.
– That is why they must stand up decisively against those who created and implemented this insecurity and defeat them, he continued.
Iran was the ousted president in Syria Bashar al-Assad ally. Al-Assad’s regime fell in early December.
