From Christmas morning (Wednesday) very strong winds are expected on Calffällen. The winds are expected to reach from 19 to 24 m/s, but locally it can flare up into a storm with heavy snow flurries measuring 27 m/s.

Visibility can be severely limited with great difficulty in orientation and movement. The risk of frostbite is high and it can be difficult to travel and anchor the tent.

Ice in large parts of Norrland
At the same time as an orange warning has been issued on Kalfjäll, a yellow warning has been set for ice in northern Jämtland, northern Västernorrland, eastern Västerbotten and southeastern Norrbotten.
