Russian ship sank in the Mediterranean

The Russian cargo ship Ursa Major has sunk in the Mediterranean after an explosion on board, Reuters reports with reference to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

14 of the crew members were rescued, but two people are still missing.

According to information, the explosion must have occurred in the ship’s engine room. The ship sank between Spain and Algeria.

Information is circulating that the ship was loaded with military equipment from the Russian bases in Syria, but the information is still unconfirmed.
