What’s next for Gerard Butler’s film series?
It is still unclear when Gerard Butler will return to the cinema as US bodyguard Mike Banning. According to The Numbers’ numbers, the series is his most successful action franchise, but financial issues prevented filming of the sequel Night Has Fallen from starting for a long time.
A legal dispute raged between Butler and two production companies, which has now been settled. Angel Has Fallen maker Ric Roman Waugh will direct.
