France declared a day of national mourning on Monday, December 23, due to the disaster caused by the passage of Cyclone Chido on Mayotte, Sunday, December 15. The provisional report shows 35 deaths and 2,500 injuries and, 10 days after the cyclone struck, the social and humanitarian situation on site remains worrying.
