18 years ago, the romantic comedy The Holiday premiered. In the film, which was directed by Nancy Meyersviewers get to know the characters Amanda Woods (Cameron Diaz)Iris Simpkins (Kate Winslet), Graham Simpkins (Jude Law) and Miles Dumont (Jack Black).
The comedy takes place during the Christmas holiday, and is about how British Iris, who is unhappily in love with her colleague, decides to leave the country to get a new perspective on things. At the same time, the American Amanda needs to get away from the stress in Los Angeles, and nothing is more suitable than Iris’ cozy cottage in Surrey, England. The women’s house change naturally ends with confusion – and love.

Even though The Holiday has been running Christmas after Christmas for almost two decades, it still attracts viewers around the world. You can go so far as to call it a modern classic, and of course it is a Christmas movie.
Many The Holiday viewers were probably disappointed earlier this year when Jude Law revealed that the cozy, snow-covered cabin does not exist in reality.
– The director is a perfectionist. She scouted the entire landscape and did not find the cabin she was looking for. So she rented a field, designed the cabin and had someone build it, Law revealed earlier this year, has People reported.

But the painful truth about the cottage is not the only thing that Law delivered this year. Anyone who has seen The Holiday a couple of times may have reacted to the fact that Jude Law looks so… different throughout the film. During part of the film he is relatively pale, but in other scenes he is extremely tanned.

There have famous actors such as Hugh Grant, Anne Hathaway, Nicolas Cage, Natalie Portman, Willem Dafoe and so Jude Law also got to see clips from their biggest and most famous films – and talk about the feelings and memories that arise.
In Scene Selection, Jude Law talks about how he came to look so different in different scenes.

– We filmed all outdoor scenes in England. They then built the interior in Los Angeles. We moved to Los Angeles. And I wasn’t around for the first four weeks that we shot, and so we got a little behind. So I was only in LA for two months and got sunburned. I get tanned just looking at the sun, says Jude Law, explaining that this is simply why he is so tanned in some scenes – while he is considerably paler in others.
