Reference design for AMD Radeon RX 8800 XT appears to have been leaked via an advertisement published by AMD looks.
The graphics card seen in the above advertisement published by AMD on Reddit is thought to be the Radeon RX 8800 XT with its reference design. The design, which is generally appreciated, does not present any big surprises. The visible card uses a black-silver color theme and has an LED-illuminated Radeon logo on the top. It was revealed via ROCm codes in the past weeks that the RDNA4-based AMD Radeon RX 8000 series, which is expected to be officially introduced as part of the CES 2025 fair to be held in January, will include RX 8800 and RX 8600 graphics card models. AMD will switch from RDNA to UDNA with the Radeon RX 9000 series. According to claims made last month, AMD plans to put the new Radeon RX 9000 graphics cards, which use UDNA architecture instead of RDNA, into mass production in the second quarter of 2026. Aiming to combine gaming and data center GPUs with UDNA, AMD said that the RX 8000 series would not compete with the high-end RTX 5000 models with its new graphics cards. The RTX 5000 series really sounds incredibly ambitious.
