In the statement, it was stated that while an operation was being carried out on the “USS Harry S. Truman” aircraft carrier in the Red Sea, the “F/A-18” fighter plane was “accidentally opened fire” from the “USS Gettysburg” cruiser.

It was stated in the statement that the two pilots on the plane were saved with the ejection seat system, but one of them was slightly injured during the evacuation, and that the incident was evaluated as a “friendly fire incident”.
