New York Rangers forward Matt Rempe is getting a long suspension for his rough tackle on Miro Heiskane.
Dallas’ Finnish defensive star Miro Heiskanen had a hard time in Saturday morning’s NHL round when the Rangers giant forward Matt Rempe in the third set, you tackled the Finn violently.
The elbow of the 110-kilogram and 203-centimeter Canadian colossus hit Heiskanen in the back of the head. Rempe got kicked out for his trick. Heiskanen continued the match after the hit to the head.
According to the news agency AP, Rangers’ Matt Rempe has been invited to a personal hearing by the NHL disciplinary unit, which according to the rules allows him to be suspended for at least six games or more.
Rempe, 22, is known in North America for his particularly hard grips. Since he has been banned from the game before, it has a tougher effect on Heiskanen’s future ban.
AHL roller and brawler Matt Rempe was recently brought up to the Manhattan Hockey League when the Rangers traded Kaapo Kako to Seattle.
Rempe has played in 22 games in the NHL and received four ejections and a total of 95 minutes on the ice. He has collected 1+1 points.
Rempe only played less than six minutes when the Rangers beat Dallas 3–1. Rangers coach Peter Laviolette told reporters that he believed Rempe “had a big impact on the game”
– I would like him not to take a five-minute ice time, but he does his best on the ice to tackle the opponents and that stands out in his favor. With his playing style, he sets an example for other players, Laviolette praised the offensive tackler after the Dallas match.
