Trymacs tells on Twitch how companies cheated gullible influencers out of hundreds of thousands of euros

The Twitch streamer Trymacs had to undergo a tax audit. It became apparent that he was missing €240,000 because companies didn’t pay their bills. The streamer also reports that his situation is not an isolated case.

What’s going on at Trymacs right now? Maximilian Stemmler, better known as Trymacs, is one of the biggest Twitch streamers in Germany, which is why the tax office carried out a tax audit on him. The authority turned its income and expenses over the past three years.

Cheated out of hundreds of thousands of euros: As Trymacs reported in a stream, this tax audit has now been completed and was overall quite acceptable. However, it was noticed during the audit that the streamer was missing 240,000 euros: “What’s hard is that they thought I was hiding money in my business account because funds were missing. They were not transferred by large companies. Lot of money.”

The streamer continues: “Over the three years, companies I worked with didn’t pay me €240,000. Not paid! There are outstanding invoices after reminders. €240,000 was not paid to me.”

Trymacs then explained again that it had now become apparent for the first time during the tax audit that these funds had never been transferred to him: “It only became apparent now. You don’t expect that, so you trust them.”

The streamer also reports that he can no longer get this money because the invoices in question have expired: “The €240,000 is gone. Three years, statute-barred, I can’t get it back. There are big companies that I’ve worked with a lot and they say ‘yes, bad luck, we have new investors, you can’t claim that anymore, three years are up, bye.’

“It was such a scam”

“There was such a scam in the industry that influencers weren’t paid money. Then came [eine] Reminder and the money still hasn’t been paid. And they wanted to remain liquid and paid some of the money a year later.”

According to Trymacs, one company went one step further and “simply didn’t pay the money at all.” However, the streamer does not reveal which company this was and which influencers were affected: “And that went through. I have many colleagues who simply didn’t get paid, but that works.”
