Ella Halvarsson has made a big splash on the international biathlon scene in recent weeks. But what actually happened on that video as in the same vein.
Ella Halvarsson’s sensational start to the season
She began the season as a doldis but has broken through with performances that echoed. But how does she actually handle the pressure? She tells that in an interview with News24.
– I still think I can live with it. I think I have to rely on myself all the time now. I get to think a bit ‘How did it feel? Did it feel good?’. If I were, for example, 27a, did my best and it turned out to be a good performance, then you have to make sure to be satisfied with that as well. And that applies regardless of what others say. But am I doing bad races? No, but then I won’t be happy with it, of course.
She goes on to talk about her successful season.
– I’ve never been kicked out before. Even though I haven’t been to the World Cup, I’ve still done well for myself at the IBU. Now I’ve had a really good training year where I’m taking steps. Then you notice that we are a very strong women’s team, so if you are not really top, you will not get a place there. I’ve been right outside now for quite a few years and then you can’t see.
She fills in:
– I wouldn’t say that I feel that much pressure either from myself or from the management here. I think it’s more that many expect more. If I make the top 30, then probably others don’t think it’s so good anymore. If I had only made the top 30, it would have been great. From my own point of view, I’m kind of satisfied.

On Tiktok, Halvarsson’s sister published, Isa Halvarssona clip where the family reacts to her success.
– I think it’s so much fun that my sister Isa, who is so much fun, has time to take out her phone and film. It’s super fun to watch.
She is asked if she was touched:
– Yes, and dad sits and cries. Mother knocks on the table, she says and laughs.
