In France, the court has sentenced eight people for the involvement of a French teacher of Samuel Paty to murder.
British Broadcasting Corporation the BBC according to the longest sentences are no less than 16 years.
History teacher Paty was murdered in front of her school near Paris in October 2020. Days earlier, she had shown Charlie Hebdo caricatures of the prophet Muhammad in her class. The 18-year-old man of Chechen background who killed Paty was killed by police bullets.
