The wait was long, but finally rewarded this Monday, April 18, 2022, when the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder was posted online. In these exclusive images from this fourth film, we discover our protagonist embark on an initiatory journey to find inner peace and his place in the world after the events of Endgame. But his adventures alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy will be interrupted by Gorr the Butcher of the Gods, who sets out to make the gods disappear.
In the new trailer, to see below, we can see snippets of the quest that awaits Thor. But this fourth episode is particularly awaited by fans since it introduces for the first time in the MCU Mighty Thor, that is to say Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) wielding Mjollnir. Taika Waititi has also confirmed that she will bear this name in her film in reference to the comic book series Mighty Thor written by Jason Aaron in which Jane Foster proves herself worthy of being the bearer of the legendary hammer Mjöllnir and the powers of Thor.
