He is one of our best Swedish NHL players.
Now Filip Forsberg chooses to look home to Sweden.
The 30-year-old is expected to join the SHL team Leksand, reveals Hockeynews.

Swedish NHL star Philip Forsberg left Leksand for North America in 2013 and has since scored 629 in 731 games in the NHL. His current contract with the Nashville Predators runs through 2030.

The Dalala team plans to make a new issue of shares to solve the financial crisis, where they lost more than 18 million last season. Now Forsberg will step in and help Leksand by buying shares for several million kroner, reports Hockeynews.

Forsberg steps in

According to information, it is about five percent of the shares, Filip Forsberg, however, would like to buy more but is stopped by American rules.
– I am not fully aware. That we have a sale going on to Filip Forsberg, I know that. If it’s done, you almost have to ask him about. It’s a great name to have in the owner list, it sends great signals, says John Janssonone of the club’s largest shareholders, to the hockey site.

30-year-old Forsberg is also a part-owner of the MLS club Nashville SC, but still has his heart in Leksand and now wants to help.
– It’s not something I want to comment on yet, but Leksand is close to my heart, says Filip in a comment to Aftonbladet.

When the NHL contract expires in six years, the Swedish hockey star is expected to have earned over 100 million dollars, more than a billion Swedish kronor, in North America.
