The star skier of the Swedish national ski team Frida Karlsson forced to withdraw from the Tour de Ski.
“She, together with the medical team and trainer, has decided not to burden herself with as many competitions in a short time as a tour entails,” says the national team manager Anders Byström in a press release.

World Cup runner-up right now, the sprint queen Jonna Sundlingabstains from the Tour de Ski. She has the WC in Trondheim as a WC goal this winter.
“We are very pleased to see Ebba Andersson and Linn Svahn again in the World Cup. Also back is Calle Halfvarsson, who received treatment for his back problems and should now be fully recovered,” says Byström.

The Tour de Ski runs this winter only in Italy. It starts in Toblach on December 28th and finishes up the infamous Alpe Cermis in Val di Fiemme on January 5th.
