Biathlon is making its comeback in France with the Grand-Bornand event.

Absent from the calendar last year, the World Cup round in France near Grand-Bornand is back! From Thursday 19 and until Sunday 22 December, the best biathletes will be present in Haute-Savoie. The third event of the season includes two sprints, two pursuits and two mass starts to end the weekend in style. For the moment, the start of the season is rather positive for the Blues with numerous podiums and in particular several victories during the relays.

In detail, among the women, the German Franziska Preuss is the overall leader before the event but we find in ambush the Frenchwoman Lou Jeanmonnot, victorious in the pursuit of Hochfilzen in Austria. Among the men, the France group is in very good shape with two victories in the first two relays of the season. Individually, Emilien Jacquelin won the inaugural sprint in Finland and finished second in the pursuit in Austria while Eric Perrot won the mass start in Kontiolahti.
