Had to leave the family dinner – to jump onto the bench

The somewhat strange scenes took place a bit into the third period when the 18-year-old Swedish-Swiss Erik Liljequist had to rush to sit on the bench to back up the recently substituted Melwin Asp Cassåsen.

Liljequist had been called in from a family dinner in Umeå and had to step onto the bench with a hastily taped one on his back.

– He was out having dinner with his parents in town when they called and said ‘Eat quickly! You should sit on the bench and be ready for games!’ says TV4’s expert Fredrik Söderström.

Mora won the match 4–1.
