The Syrian Airlines passenger plane, which took off from Damascus Airport, which became operational after the fall of the Assad regime on December 8, made its first flight to Aleppo Airport in the north of the country. According to the data of the FlightRadar24 application, the plane made the most watched flight during its journey, with 7 thousand people following it.
Aleppo Airport Director Mohammed al-Masri stated that they have made the necessary technical infrastructure preparations and said that the first flight from Damascus was successful. Masri stated that they expect Aleppo Airport to become operational soon.
AIRPORTS ARE 100 PERCENT READY
Journalist Musa al-Omer, who was among the passengers, also expressed his satisfaction in being on the plane coming from the capital to Aleppo.
Ömer said, “Damascus and Aleppo airports are 100 percent ready. I am very happy to take part in this expedition. I am very lucky. According to the information I received from the authorities, Damascus Airport will also be opened to international flights very soon.” he said.
