Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren has a pretty exclusive design and has been requested by fans for a long time. We’ll tell you how to unlock the flight mount.

What kind of mount is this? Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren is a large petrel that has existed in the World of Warcraft game data for almost 10 years, but only became available with patch 11.0.7. You can get the mount on the new Siren Island. To do this, you have to complete a few steps that we will introduce to you in this guide.

Unlock Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren

In order to unlock the flying mount, you have to collect a total of 5 keys and bring them all to a specific position on Siren Island. However, most of the keys are broken into various fragments, so the search can take quite a while. Also note that for most fragments you have to be in the storm phase of Siren Island.

How do you unlock the storm phase? If you complete all of the weekly tasks on the island, you will then have the opportunity to speak to a goblin lady in the camp to enter the “Sea Fury Storm” phase – which most people just call “Storm”. There are many elite enemies and other strange occurrences here that are not active in the normal phase of the island.

  • Swirling Rune Key: Dropped by Ksvir the Forgotten. This is a rare enemy in the Forgotten Chamber. However, the NPC is only present in the storm phase.
  • Flowing Rune Key: For this you need 7 Streaming Fragment. All mobs in the island’s Storm phase have a low chance of dropping these fragments.
  • Thundering Rune Key: Collect 5 Thundering Fragment. You can get all fragments of this type from treasure chests on Siren Island. It can be present in crates in both Storm and Normal phases.
  • Cyclonic Rune Key: Dropped by Zek’ul the Shipbreaker. This rare enemy appears at coordinates 33 / 74 in the Storm phase of Siren Island. Note that this key is not a guaranteed drop, so you will need several attempts.
  • Turbulent Rune Key: Composed of 3 Turbulent Fragments. You can find them at these coordinates, but only in the storm phase of Siren Island:
  • 1st fragment: 33 / 73
  • 2nd fragment: 67 / 78
  • 3rd fragment: 52 / 39

    • Once you have collected all the keys, go back to the Forgotten Vault (where you found the ring). Make sure you are in the storm phase of the island and then go to the eastern chamber of the vault. Here you will find Thrayir lying on the ground, surrounded by 5 runestones. Activate each of the stones with the corresponding key – and congratulations! The flying mount is now yours!
    Another, much more complex mount is Incognitro – but it needs a lot of work.
