Anton Sokolin is correspondent for the North Korea News. He highlights the lack of a reliable source for information on North Korean soldiers, but was able to analyze Ukrainian documents.

The first difficulty: the language barrier
According to Ukrainian military intelligence, the language barrier prevents good communication between Russians and North Koreans. Anton Sokolin calls for caution.
“ We heard that Russian units were given dictionaries and guides on how to communicate with North Korean soldiers. We do not know if this information is reliable. And if they are, how much did it help them interact. I would say that the first difficulty linked to the language barrier is probably the absence of interpreters. I don’t think Russia has such a large pool of qualified interpreters. »
