Black Panther 3 is officially coming and the first star

It’s been two years since Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was released in theaters. However, there has been a lot of uncertainty about a third part of the series. Is he coming or not coming? Now we finally have an update on what’s going on with Black Panther 3. The sequel is in the works at Marvel Studios.

The news comes from Deadline. As the industry magazine reveals in an exclusive report, the blockbuster is already being put in place behind the scenes. The work became official with a statement from Nate Moore, who worked as an executive producer at Marvel for a long time and is now going his own way.

Black Panther 3 is officially in the works: Nate Moore is producing and Denzel Washington is taking on a role

Moore wants to become self-employed as a producer, but remains loyal to the studio. He tells Deadline:

Almost everything I know about producing I learned during my time at Marvel Studios. […] I couldn’t be more excited to apply my experience and passion to feature films of all genres, including Return to the world of Wakanda for Black Panther 3.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige and Louis D’Esposito also confirm Moore’s return for Black Panther 3. In a joint statement they write:

Nate is a fantastic producer and colleague, as well as a wonderful friend to all of us here at Marvel Studios. He has been a core member of our team since 2010 and his influence will continue to resonate in our storytelling. Although we will miss him greatly, we look forward to seeing what he does next and are fortunate to be involved with him in a new way to work on the next Black Panther film.

Anyone who has been following Marvel news closely over the past few weeks should not be too surprised by the Black Panther 3 announcement. Because one star has already revealed his involvement: Denzel Washington.

During the Gladiator II press tour, Washington revealed that Ryan Coogler (Creed) a role was written for him in Black Panther 3 has. Shortly afterward, he apologized to the director and screenwriter for leaking the info before it could be officially revealed, Variety reported last week.

Marvel sequel: When does Black Panther 3 start?

Black Panther 3 is definitely coming. However, it is not yet clear when this will happen. Since production is still in its early stages, we should earliest 2027 expect a cinema release. However, we don’t have to wait long for the next Marvel film. Captain America 4 will conquer the big screen from February 13, 2025.
