So, how much is five percent of the electricity bill in kroner, if you look over a year?

We have used numbers from Eon to exemplify this.

On its website, the company lists the average electricity cost and electricity consumption, depending on how big you live.

Please note that the estimates in this article are approximate and may vary between different electricity providers.

How much does electricity cost on average?

A normal electricity cost in electricity area 3 averaged 300 öre per kilowatt hour for smaller apartments (which consume up to 2,500 kWh per year) during the first half of 2024, according to Eon.

During the same time period, the price for larger apartments, with an annual consumption of up to 5,000 kWh per year, was 250 öre.

In electricity area 4, the price was another 25 öre more expensive per kilowatt hour during the first half of 2024.

Five percent of that, the promised reduction on the electricity bill that can be achieved by lowering the interior temperature by one degree, thus landing at SEK 450 in one year.
