28 Years Later trailer writes horror history: Only It 2 was viewed more than once in one day
The Stephen King film adaptation IT Chapter 2 received the most views for a horror trailer in just one day. The success of the preview can be attributed to the same secret ingredient: editor Bill Neil. After a few days, his 28 Years Later trailer has already garnered over 146 million global views and is the most-watched horror preview of the year.
There are not 28 days or 28 weeks in 28 Years Later since the start of the zombie apocalypse past, but – you guessed it – 28 years. The celebrated preview gives an idea of what the world looks like now and how dangerous the nimble anger monsters still are, who no longer have anything to do with George A. Romero’s living dead.
A particular zombie in the trailer caused a stir, which many identified as Cillian Murphy, before the Guardian revealed the gaunt undead to be UK art dealer Angus Neill. Murphy is actually in the cast, as are Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes and others.
The 28 saga is far from over
28 Years Later presents that first Beginning of a new trilogy The first of three announced films will be released in cinemas on June 19, 2025, followed by 28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple and an as yet untitled film.
