“TOTALLY SUITABLE”

“I would say what we want to see is the establishment of a Syrian national government that includes all ethnic groups within Syria,” Miller said. he said. Pointing out that at the end of the process, there should be no “sub-national militia groups” carrying weapons under separate flags, Miller said that in this regard, it is “absolutely appropriate” to discuss the deportation of foreign fighters from Syria.

HE STATED THE IMPORTANCE OF ADOPTING A TRANSPARENT AND INCLUSIVE CONSTITUTION

Asked what the new political system to be established in Syria should be, Miller said, “This is a decision that the Syrian people will make, not the United States.” he replied. Miller noted that the Syrian people, when creating their government and constitution, should decide within a framework that represents their aspirations and the normal compromises in the give-and-take relationship that takes place in civil society. Stating that the USA stood at the point of reminding the main principles in this process, Miller stated the importance of adopting a “transparent and inclusive constitution” in Syria.
