Head of the US-based Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF) Mouaz Moustafa announced that a mass grave was found in Qutayfah, 40 kilometers north of Damascus. Stating that there were 5 mass graves in Qutayfah, Moustafa stated that the dead bodies of at least 100 thousand people murdered by the Assad regime were found in only one mass grave.
“THERE ARE US AND BRITISH PEOPLE AMONG THEM”
Moustafa stated that the number of bodies buried in the region is estimated to be around one hundred thousand and said, “In addition to Syrians, there are also dead bodies of American and British citizens in the mass graves. This is too much. “It’s a conservative estimate,” he said.
BLOOD FREEZING DETAILS
Moustafa said that the bodies were sent to the mass grave site from the military hospitals where they were collected after being tortured to death. Noting that the bodies were also transported by the Damascus Municipality funeral office, Mouaz Moustafa added that the staff helped unload the bodies from refrigerated tractor trailers.
Moustafa stated that they talked to people who worked on opening mass graves and burying the bodies, and said, “They said that most of the time, they crushed the bodies upon orders to fit them and then covered them with soil.”
