“Look, the first tips of the daffodils, on the Kardinaal de Jongweg, on the way to the studio. And it was windy, I had a headwind.” Sonja van Stek laughingly addressed her listeners in a Facebook video, just before one of the broadcasts. Almost every working day, Sonja got on her bike to take the bicycle highway from her hometown of Amersfoort to the Bingo FM studio. Until it didn’t work anymore. Sonja passed away last Monday.
