(Finance) – Next Geosolutions Europeamong the leading international companies in the field of marine geosciences and offshore construction support services mainly in the energy sector, with a focus on renewable energy (“NextGeo”), has been awarded an important contract worth approximately 43 million euro, with TenneT TSO.

The signed contract provides the execution of numerous geophysical and geotechnical survey activities, both offshore and nearshore, in the Dutch Exclusive Economic Zone. The project is part of the Dutch company’s ambitious “2GW Program”, a massive project that aims to develop a new generation of HVDC connections to integrate 2 GW of offshore wind energy into the European electricity system by 2031, significantly contributing to climate goals of the EU.

The operational activities that NextGeo will carry out, between the end of the first quarter and the fourth quarter of 2025, will concern the carrying out of a “Marine Route Survey”, a type of investigation necessary for the correct design of the electrical cable connections that will allow the offshore wind area ” Doordewind” to introduce energy from renewable sources produced at sea into the terrestrial grid.

Specifically, NextGeo will deal with geophysical investigations and geotechnical sampling, through the use of advanced technical solutions, covering an area of ​​over 21,000 hectares.
