A new Scary Movie film was announced at the end of October, continuing the cult horror parody franchise over ten years after the last part. As a special feature, the original trio Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans and Keenen Ivory Wayans are involved in Scary Movie 6 for the first time since part 2. The former has now revealed when the next film should be released in cinemas.
Scary Movie 6 is scheduled to hit theaters next year
In the current interview on the YouTube channel BigBoyTV, Marlon Wayans says that the next Scary Movie part sometime in 2026 should start in the cinema. A more precise date has not yet been set. But the release makes sense since filming is expected to begin next year.

What is the plot of Scary Movie 6?
The last Scary Movie installment was released in 2013 and took aim at films like Insidious, Sinister and Paranormal Activity. There is currently no information about the plot of Scary Movie 6.
In the last eleven years There’s definitely been a lot going on in the horror genre and so there are countless films that could be made fun of in the next Scary Movie part. Works like Get Out, The Babadook or, most recently, the successful Terrifier series, for example, could provide ideal parody fodder.
