Toyota Automotive Industry Turkey, which started its first production in Sakarya with the Corolla model in 1994, has become one of Toyota’s largest factories outside Japan in 30 years with an annual production capacity of 280 thousand automobiles. Toyota Automotive Industry Turkey, the factory of firsts that has achieved many innovations in its field with an innovative approach since the first day of production, produced the first MPV car in Turkey with the Verso model and the first SUV and the first hybrid car in Turkey with the Toyota C-HR model. The new Toyota C-HR, which started mass production in 2023, became the first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) car produced in Turkey. Toyota Automotive Industry Turkey, which has a modern production structure at world standards with its continuous investments, produces three different models: gasoline engine, hybrid and rechargeable on the same production line. “TMMT, which has produced a total of 3 million 700 thousand automobiles in 30 years, provides high added value to the Turkish economy by exporting 90 percent of its hybrid and rechargeable hybrid vehicles to 150 countries on 5 continents as of today.”
