A new mini set is launching in Pokémon TCG Pocket. With Mythical Island, new Pokémon and trainer cards come into play. So that you are best prepared for the release, MeinMMO has a few tips for you.
What kind of booster is this? Mythical Island has a total of 80 cards. The big stars of the new booster are Mew-ex and Aerodacytl-ex. But there will also be completely new Pokémon like Dedenne or Serpifeu.
Of course, this also means that you can open 2 (with the Premium Pass even 3 boosters) every day and take on new challenges. In order to be as well prepared as possible for the new mini set, you should consider the following things.

5 tips for the perfect start to Mythical Island
Prepare decks for the challenges
The new challenges use decks centered around Mew-ex and Aerodactyl-ex. Mew-ex has Dark as a weakness, while Aerodacytl is particularly vulnerable to Electric attacks. So build a deck around Arbok and Smogmog or Pikachu-ex.
Alternatively, you can also use other Pokémon that are effective against Psychic and Fighting. Namely, Mew-ex and Aerodactyl-ex will be in a deck with Pokémon that are of the same element. That’s why you can fill your Dark deck with Steel-type Pokémon. You can supplement your Electric deck with Psychic and Grass-type Pokémon.
Hoard as many packing hourglasses as possible
In order to open as many boosters as possible right at the start, you should have saved up your packing hourglasses recently. If you still have some in reserve, it’s best to keep them. In addition, you can get new packing hourglasses for your shop tickets, which you will hopefully have saved up for as well.
By the way, this doesn’t apply to the pack points: Each booster has its own pack points. So you can spend them to get cards in “Unbeatable Genes”. You should have spent the pack points at least by the time the current boosters are replaced by new ones.
No more miracle choices
The same as point 2 also applies to the miracle choice. You should collect the corresponding hourglasses to open boosters from friends who have already drawn cards on Mythical Island. You can also use your Shop Tickets to exchange them for these types of Hourglasses.
Also, no more miracle choices are possible. Otherwise you will use up miracle stamina and won’t be able to draw cards from your friends right at the start.
Use your free premium pass
If you haven’t redeemed your Premium Pass yet, it might be worth it now. If you like the cards from the mini set more than the ones from “Unbeatable Genes”, you can open another booster per day.
Alternatively, you can consider purchasing the Premium Pass. However, you then have to spend 9.99 euros for a month.
Complete challenges you haven’t done yet
If you haven’t paid attention to Pokémon TCG Pocket’s PvE mode yet, now would be the time. During the CPU battles you can collect more hourglasses and shop tickets in order to open as many boosters as possible at the start.
