(Finance) – More investments in energy efficiency for the safety and sustainability of properties. These are the themes at the center of the second meeting of High Level Forum for the sustainable redevelopment of propertiesan initiative born in 2024 from the collaboration between the Technical Table to encourage the redevelopment of properties, in which it participates the ABIand the National Round Table “Policies and Recommendations” of GREENROAD projectfinanced by European Commission and in which ABILab, the research and innovation center promoted by the ABI, participated.
The Forum aims to encourage communication and the update on regulatory news, fiscal and regulatory on the subject of energy efficiency and safety and sustainability aspects of buildings; to spread the culture of redevelopment of the real estate assets and to identify innovative tools to support financing of the sustainable redevelopment of buildings in Italy.
Between the themes main ones at the center of the meeting: the legislative and regulatory updates on the topic of energy efficiency; the in-depth analysis on European initiatives for the energy requalification of properties; the consultation of the European Commission for the creation of a reference framework aimed at encourage financing for the energy efficiency of buildings; the innovations introduced in fifth edition of the Guidelines for the valuation of properties.
The meeting, which took place yesterday in Rome, was also an opportunity for define the future operational objectives of the Forumincluding: finding technical and legal solutions that allow banks and financial intermediaries to access the public databases with information on energy classes of properties and monitor the process transposition of the EU Directive on the energy performance of buildings.
The Forum involves institutional and sector playersincluding the European Commission, the competent Departments of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, the Ministry of Economy, the Bank of Italy, ABI Lab, ENEA, the main business representative associations , Consumer Associations and the European Mortgage Federation.
