Large fantasy MMORPG introduces a new class, a cowgirl with a revolver and shotgun

The teaser trailer was followed by the official announcement of Black Desert’s new class. The MMORPG abandons its fantasy roots to a certain extent.

What kind of new class is this? The developers of Black Desert had already announced with a teaser at the beginning of December 2024 that the new class of the MMORPG would rely on revolvers and shotguns, thus breaking up the previous fantasy roots to a certain extent.

Now there is the official presentation of the Deadeye class. Behind her is the leader of the so-called Canary gang, who is making a name for herself with her beauty and ruthlessness. One of the cowgirl’s special features is the projectiles she can use.

Deadeye can freely switch between regular and Marni projectiles:

  • Regular projectiles deal significant damage to individual targets.
  • Marni projectiles are less damaging, but compensate with a larger blast radius that covers a wide area.

    • Of course, it also makes a difference whether the Deadeye is shooting at its enemies with a revolver or a shotgun. You can see the class in action in the new combat trailer:

    What else is known? The developers are firing off media fireworks for the new class. In addition to the combat trailer, you can already find the main trailer at naeu.playblackdesert.com, with the general introduction (via YouTube). The D-Day Diaries will reveal further details later today (December 15, 2024). Also planned:

  • Coming soon: audio books in which the Marni wave is examined in more detail

    • Using the item called the Marni Wave, Deadeye was able to hear her brother’s voice for a long time. However, contact with Marni broke off, which is why she was left to her own devices from then on. A little later she met Illezra, who seemed to know everything. Since Deadeye had to clutch at every last straw in the search for her brother, she decided to follow Illezra.
