A week after the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, the Pope is finally in France, not in Paris, but in Corsica where he spends the day there. Historical visit to the island which has had links with the Vatican throughout its history. But this is the first time that the head of the Catholic Church has visited Corsica, the island of beauty that the newspaper The Cross called “the island of piety”.
