Agneta Sjodin is without income A little thin

Agneta Sjödins career in the box spans several decades. Today, she is one of Sweden’s most popular television profiles, and over the years she has been a presenter for, among other things, Agneta’s popsicles, Fångarna på fortet, Gladiators, Let’s Dance and Bingolotto.

Over the years, the offers began to thin out more and more, and when she was fired from Agneta’s New Year’s caramels, many viewers were upset.

– I got fired. I really got fired. You know in these times, we are just pawns in a game. I got a phone call from an executive that they were going to change. This kind of thing is expected in my industry, they change things, especially in these times. They are desperate to survive out there, Agneta Sjödin told Morgonpasset in P3.

Agneta Sjödin today

Agneta Sjödin is not idle for that. When she visited Richard Olsson’s podcast Help, I’m turning 50 so Agneta tells us that she started a spiritual podcast and a YouTube channel about UFOs.

Agneta says that she felt very strongly that “now is the time”.

– Now it’s time to move and time to cut down on unnecessary overheads, says Agneta Sjödin.

She lives today in an apartment in Nacka. Agneta has scaled back – just like her industry colleague Mikael Thornwing who chose to live on only 38 square meters, and like Rickard Olsson who recently sold his enormous luxury villa in Nacka to instead move into an apartment with his girlfriend Catherine Hardenborg at Östermalm in Stockholm.

Agneta Sjödin on her income: “A little thin”

Even an apartment in Nacka costs money every month. How can she afford everything now that the TV jobs aren’t as plentiful anymore?

– The podcast, the authorship, and now this YouTube channel. You have work to do. But how can you afford the rent?, asks Rickard Olsson in the podcast.

– I have savings. No, but I did Bingolotto last summer, so I can say that I am extremely grateful for this TV money. Because this year, a little less has come in and the podcast hasn’t drawn in either, it’s been a little thin with sponsors. What I put in there on the podcast basically funds the YouTube channel. But it’s clear, I also think that I have to dare. Life is short. There was a time when you knew for sure that they would call soon with some TV hack, you were quite spoiled, says Agneta Sjödin.

Agneta says that she still has television assignments, but that there are simply not as many offers as before.

– But I must dare to fly. Live my dream, she continues.

So wise – money is not everything!
