In the opening group match against Sweden, Finland dominated the game and won the match 5–2 after a convincing performance. The western neighbor is now annoyed, and in Sunday’s final we will surely see a completely different team.

A much talked about interview
When Sweden defeated Finland in the final of the World Cup in Helsinki 2021, Nilsberth gave the Finns a full wing. He said after the final match that he was very tired of Finns and that he never wanted to return to the country. On that side, the Swedish defender also ate Finnish food and coffee.
– I don’t think that interview was reflected in the right way. Finland is like a brother to me. You know, the one you always want to compete with.
– After the group stage match, my social media accounts were flooded with messages with coffee cups. So, if you play that game, you have to live with it. I thought it was funny that they sent pictures of coffee cups.
For Sunday’s final, Nilsberth has a message for the Finns.
– How is that Mika (Kohonen) always says: “Good luck and the ball in the middle, we’ll see how it goes”.
Nilsberth is earlier announcedthat the current World Cup will be his last in the national team. The veteran defender representing the Swiss Zug United has won four world championships with Sweden in his career.
