Jonathans (20) was trained at Vitesse and made his debut two years ago in the main squad of the Arnhem club, which was still playing in the Premier League at the time. He made thirteen appearances that season, always as a substitute. At the start of last season he made six substitute appearances, but suffered a serious knee injury at the end of October.
