With Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS, the successful Netflix series in the universe of Cyberpunk: 2077 gets its own manga. The full first volume is scheduled to appear in 2025. But you can already read the first chapter in different languages - including a German version.
What is Cyberpunk: Edgerunner’s MADNESS about? The manga is intended to give you an insight into the backstory of the Netflix series and makes Rebecca and Pilar the protagonists. In Night City, the siblings do everything they can to make their dreams come true.
They meet a mysterious man named “Saffron” who seems to weave himself ever deeper into their lives. The manga lets you experience how the two became edgerunners and the obstacles they face as they try to make a name for themselves.

If you would rather read the Japanese original, you can find it at comic-walker.com. Additionally, the chapter is also available in Polish, Italian, Spanish and soon also in French and English.
The first chapter comprises around 42 pages, in which you mainly follow the protagonist Rebecca. The story was written by Comic Book & Animation Narrative Director Bartosz Sztybor (via x.com), while Asano (via x.com) provided the illustrations.
How is the chapter received by the community? There is excitement about the announcement in a thread on Reddit. Many have read the chapter straight away and are already looking forward to reading more of it in the coming year.
Fans are also discussing which well-known characters could also make an appearance alongside Rebecca and Pilar. Many suspect that Sasha or Kiwi, for example, could be involved in the story.
