Brantford Police have released a suspect’s photo and are looking to identify a man said to have followed a young female on Wednesday.

Detectives with the Brantford Police are hoping someone can name the man who was said to have followed the girl at about 3:30 pm on Dec. 11.

Oxford County resident loses $6K in grandparent scam

A Tillsonburg resident was scammed out of $6,300 earlier this month by what’s commonly known as the “grandparent scam”.

Oxford County OPP say that on December 5 at 2 pm, the resident received a phone call from someone claiming to be a grandchild in need of bail money. The resident thought they were speaking to a member of the police service and agreed to pay a bond collector who showed up at the front door of their home.

The suspect is described as being about six feet tall, 25 to 35 years of age, with black hair. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing black clothes.
