Pressbyrån’s new sausage confuses customers: “Disgusting”

Pressbyrans new sausage confuses customers Disgusting

Pressbyrån’s history stretches all the way back to the late 1800s. The retail company developed out of the Swedish Telegram Agency, which was then tasked with selling newspapers at Sweden’s railway stations.

A lot has happened since then. The press agency, which is today owned by the Norwegian Reitangruppen, is now in more places than just railway stations and their roughly 300 stores are visited every day by around 300,000 customers, according to their homepage.

Pressbyrån is launching the loop sausage before Christmas

As Christmas approaches, restaurants and shops tend to offer special items or menus – and Pressbyrån is no exception.

Nowadays, it is possible to order what the Press Agency calls a “lusseskorv”, which is a hot dog that is served in a cut-up lusse bun, rather than a normal sausage bread or a baguette.

– We have had the Lussekorven in our Christmas assortment ever since it was launched in 2017, but it feels incredibly good that it has gotten a boost again, says Harris Lukemanpress contact at the Press Agency, to News24.

Skeptical customers: “No, no, no!”

The fact that the sausage made a comeback on Pressbyrån’s Christmas menu was something that the company drew attention to on their official Facebook page.

“Surprise your friend with a Lussekorv – an unexpectedly good taste experience,” wrote the post, which received over 1,200 comments.

Not all customers are completely convinced when it comes to the flavor combination. This is what some of the skeptics write in the comments section:

“That you are not in prison…”

“So no, just no.”

“Damn so disgusting.”

“No, no, no!!”

“Well that’s the limit.”

But according to Lukeman, the sweetness of the fluffy cat marries “surprisingly well” with sausage.

– In this way, our luss sausage could be compared to hamburgers on brioche bread. Those who have tried it have been pleasantly surprised – not least in the comment fields, he says.

And of course there are a few who have tried the luss sausage and have positive reviews in the comment field.

“It’s actually good,” writes one person, while another writes:

“The best thing I’ve eaten!”
