At the beginning of November, 2.3 million liters of untreated sewage gushed straight into Lake Tiken in Småland. Now the municipality of Tingsryd has been reported to the police, reports P4 Kronoberg.
The background to the incident was a power outage, which caused one of the municipality’s pumping stations to stop working and was then out of order for several days.
The County Administrative Board, which is behind the police report, believes that the municipality has mismanaged the maintenance of the pump station and also emphasizes that the alarm did not work either.
