Kinepolis Jaarbeurs was full with a new Star Wars, Slachtstraat is not aiming for such blockbusters. Expect the same films as sister and brother Louis Hartlooper Complex and Springhaver Theater: smaller films, art house, the occasional film that can draw a large audience. But Slachthuis also receives no subsidy, emphasizes film programmer Stelling. The cash register should ring. “But if we have a hit in room 1 of the Louis Hartlooper, there is room here to shoot more difficult films for three people.”
