There is a heavy fire in an apartment building in Gränby in Uppsala.
In the same house, two suspected dangerous objects were neutralized during the night of Tuesday.
The fire broke out just hours after the National Bomb Squad defused the two suspicious objects in the same house.
– It is the same house that is on fire that had two objects blown up during the night to Tuesday, so it is clear that we are looking into the connection, says Magnus Jansson Klarin, press spokesperson at police region Mitt.
The police do not want to go out with exactly what type of objects it was about and during the day a technical examination took place in the premises where the objects were found.
Police technicians were still working at the scene when a heavy fire broke out. Witnesses have reported loud bangs heard in connection with the fire.
– We don’t know what it is that pops yet, if it’s something burning that pops, it’s being investigated now, says Magnus Jansson Klarin.
On Tuesday, a 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of having placed the objects.
It was unclear at midnight if anyone was injured in the fire.
